Video show new Trabant on Euromaxx TV. Interesting video about Trabant history as well as interview with designer of electric version prototype Nils Poschwatta who gave up his job at Volkswagen to work on new Trabi.
The almost 20 years after the fall of the Berlin wall (1989), the most common car in the former East Germany could be poised for a come back. The Trabant know as Trabi was smelly, noisy and made of plastic (duroplast) .... But in the country where you had to wait about 12 years to get one, it was the object of the special desire.
Electric version prototype of New Electric Trabi was displayed in Frankfurt in 2009.
